My name is Kelsey Wenburg and I’m 39.
I started having symptoms when I was 29 and was finally diagnosed when I was 36.
I live in Wasilla, Alaska but am currently treating in California.
Life before Lyme: I was a runner, a hockey player and loved hiking and fishing in Alaska. I worked for the government. In 2015, I was working as a health and wellness coach. I worked hard to study the human body and nutrition and try to help others with what I was dealing with. (Still didn’t know it was Lyme)
I had a busy social life, hosting group workouts at my home 3-5 days a week. That all came to an end in August of 2018.
I was 36 when my body finally gave out on me and I finally got my diagnosis.
I got extremely sick on a camping trip through Canada and had to turn around. I was bedridden for days before a mysterious double bullseye presented itself on my arm.
I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in September 2018.
I’ve tried:
- herbs
- Infrared sauna
- iv glutathione
- iv ozone
- bee venom therapy
- disulfiram
- Iv and oral antibiotics
- 8 day water fast
- anti parasitic drugs
- anti mold drugs
- ozone, ozone dialysis
- laser treatment
- IV flagyl
- IV vitamin C
- IV antibiotics- rifampin
- Rocephin etc
- Bicillin shots
- Stem Cells
– just about every modality you can think of.
I have been treating for 3.5 years, and now I have a new wonderful doctor.
I have not returned to work or a social life but I look forward to it every day.
I’ll never give up hope that one day my immune system will be able to take care of all of this and I will regain my health.
